The 6th annual Clean the Ferndale Up! returns on Saturday, May 20, 2017. A fun-tastic day for families, friends and co-workers to volunteer together for sprucing the areas within the community.
If you have not pre-registered, simply show-up on Saturday (05/20/17) between 8 am
and 8:45 am to sign-up and join the fun!! Community and business groups are welcome too!
The 2017 projects will include raking, tidying, bundling, bagging, planting and recycling with
the Department of Public Works providing necessary equipment, mulch, plants and garbage
bags while volunteers are encouraged to bring a pair of work gloves and a rake or shovel.
As an exciting new addition, and in partnership with the Ferndale Housing Commission, we will
have volunteers trimming branches and removing debris at select residential homes who are unable.
Volunteers are to check-in from 8:00 am to 8:45 am at the Ferndale City Hall. At 8:45 am, the Pep
Rally Kick Off prior to volunteers disbursing to their assigned projects with their community group.
At 12:00 pm, all volunteers are invited to return to the Ferndale City Hall for hot dogs and beverages.

Recycling Drop-Off Station: We are planning to once again partner with SOCRRA
Recycling Drop-Off Station for electronics, paper, glass, paints and more.
The Recycling Drop-Off Station will be in the City Hall parking lot (between City Hall
and the Ferndale Area Public Library from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
